Because if they were well educated, generally, they wouldn't worship lawyers and doctors as celebrities? Just a guess.


They didn't worship them. THey respected them.

Coming from Paris, I felt everyone around here was so NICE and POLITE. The sun shines, there is less pollution, less gridlock, it's wonderful!

It's true the gloves come off on DCUM.
I would not want it any other way, since I come here for unvarnished opinions.
And compared to other sites, the DCUM population tends to be more knowledgeable, incisive, and critical.
The Berkeley Parents' network is also full of knowledgeable individuals but it's impossible to navigate.

You poor thing - it is pretty shocking how people "treat each other" on DCUM. You better just get off DCUM before you become addicted. It is awful....yet here I am!
