It will be a late dinner because the wife and I are going to a spin class, so this is a bit of a quick indulgence.
This is an indulgent meal!?
Same poster here - indulgent because almost everything is out of a box or a jar. I hate "cooking" like that.
Ah! Makes sense.
Well...as a counterpoint...it sounds like you don't have kids, so you could just go out for a nice bite to eat somewhere healthy but tasty after your class.
True. But usually we are so sweaty and smelly we bother even ourselves so showering is of primary importance.
Since I have two kids, I am very envious of any lifestyle that includes spinning and a 9pm dinner! Sweat all you like in public, you guys are living the dream!
It always make me sad when people with kids say things like this. Please don't say them in your kids' earshot.
Why? Raising kids is damn hard. Why shouldn't people be able to dream about not being encumbered from time-to-time? Did PP say anything about telling her kids this? But, come to think about it, some kids need to know that the whole world doesn't and shouldn't revolve around them at all times.

Anonymous wrote:Homemade soup. Question: I just finished making it. Can it sit covered on the stove for the next three hours, or should I stick it in the fridge?
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:DH's birthday, so he picked the menu:
Seared scallops
Spaghetti in olive oil, garlic, red pepper flake, and lemon
Sauteed spinach with garlic and olive oil
Dessert is homemade ice cream cake with strawberry ice cream, graham crackers, and chunks of cheesecake.
Do you work outside the home? If not, how can you do all that after work?
