I would say she's guilty by association, but I think she believes "she got this" and it doesn't matter.

Would you believe that Phinis Jones -- the guy that is up to his eyeballs in the Park Southern controversy, the same guy who can't account for the missing $300,000 in rent money he collected -- is a host of Bowser's birthday party fundraiser tonight? This would be extraordinary by itself, but other hosts include additional individuals who have been associated with wrongful use of government funds. One co-host is a part owner of a strip club that was built with money meant for the District's HIV programs. Another one is the guy who bribed Marion Barry, causing Barry to get fined and censured. Bowser really knows how to pick friends.
