Unfortunately, I agree with this. I'm surprised it took so many posts for someone to say this.

Neither DH nor I are big phone talkers, but we usually will text/email at least daily if one of us is away/travelling. Doesn't have to be long, just more of a "I'm still alive" kind of email.

Even if he isn't cheating -- I don't think that "out of sight, out of mind," bodes well for any marriage. What do you think it'll be like when he's on to a new assignment with no travel? I am willing to bet he will try to switch jobs or assignments to get something where he is on the road again and may make it seem like "I had to do it in order to keep my job." I think he's gotten used to a life where he's home for 1 week a month and that's a "vacation" for him where he's happy to do different things like dates or baking cupcakes but then he goes back to his normal road warrior life.

There's nothing wrong with that, but you have to decide whether you can be married to this lifestyle for the next 20-30 yrs of his career. There are many women that do it and frankly enjoy the "independence" on the home front, but there are many who say it isn't for them; it's your call but you need to figure out how you feel about this.
