She made a mistake for whatever reason, but doesn't want to look back at what seems to have been a stressful position and wants to look forward towards something better. I know that when I was asked to resign from a position last year, that I was rather resentful about how things had panned out, but after about 2 weeks out of the position, I realized how much the very negative and stressful atmosphere of that job was poorly affecting my health and my life. Even unemployed, I felt less stressed and more positive about my life and was interacting with my family so much better. I got a new job about 8 weeks later and it has been so much better for our whole family.
