No, I would choose not to have children. I feel like I missed out on a lot of opportunities by having a child.

Just curious...why? Is it because you wanted more? I had mine younger (mid-20s) but feel like there are pros and cons to having kids at any age, but it all balances out in the end.

I should probably add that I LOVE my children and my life. I cherish our family time. With that said, I look forward to being an empty nester! (Kids are 18, 14, 11 & 5).

Yes. I've been with my DH since we were 21. Only thing I would change isI would have the earlier and I would have had a 3rd. As it is, I would never have a child after the age of 35, so my ship has sailed for #3.

Yes. I wish we would have had more "us" time before I got pregnant, but in a way, having a child brought us closer together. (I got pregnant on the pill.)

On the plus side, it gave his mother a chance to be a grandmother before she passed. She didn't get to spend much time with our second before she passed.

Yes. My kids have made me a better person. The need I feel to be the best person I can be, for them, so they can be good people and be proud to have me as a mom, is the most surprising gift that parenthood has given me. They make me smile and laugh every day. They drive me crazy... But they've given me the ability to live life twice. Once through my eyes, and once through theirs.

i wonder how many said yes have the special needs kids. my child's needs are mild on the whole spectrum but challenging. would i still parent? yes, but i would wait longer and do it with a great man.
