Drunk people just act stupid.

Besides, who needs alcohol when you can have the intoxicating effects of self-righteousness?

Love it!

Probably one of the best quotes of all time.

Have you ever hosted 40-50 adults at once?

Sure. It's called a wedding and you don't have it at home.

Seriously, how many people have 50 adults over to their houses on a regular basis? Let's get real, it's very few.

New Poster. Did it this weekend.

I love the fact that people bring liquor as gifts. Cuts down on expenses and hassle when we have a big gathering.

+status points for a few bottles tastefully arranged on your great-grandparents' cocktail cart
-status points for pony keg in your knotty pine basement

(I'd take either)

Hey, you only live once...don't take a chance on enjoying yourself! It's so much better to be a super-judgmental, pursed-lip, crossed-arm Bitter Betty.

No, I think it speaks more to someone's drinking habits and social life vs being a status symbol - no not a status symbol at all! I think knowing different wines and regions can speak to refinement, but even so many people just aren't big drinkers.

The self righteous are by definition dramatic. No suprise there. Broad sweeping generalizations based on no fact, only their own insecurity.
