They are already the Queen Bs of the preschool set. Lauren has particularly discriminating tastes and can spot which of her classmates are wearing clothes from Target. She isn't quite sure why this is objectionable but makes sure they know that it just won't do. Alexandra will become sporty as a way to distinguish herself from her older sister and develop a hidden crush on a teammate.
