You can get some good "organic" looking stuff for less than $100 at ikea

I particularly love their dressers. I've had IKEA dressers since I was a teenager - I am now 37. The dressers that were in my teenage bedroom are making their way into my home - they are replacing the PB dresser we bought for my daughter as an infant and have grown to hate. They are 24 years old and are still in good shape. Their dressers have an insane amount of room in them - I am always so sad when I go to other stores and see how tiny the drawers are in $1K+dressers. Screw that, the $250-300 dressers at IKEA hold way more and are 1/4 the cost.

We have an IKEA kitchen and are very happy with it. Our TV unit in our living room is IKEA. We just went to IKEA in order to purchase the bookcases and desk area we are "building in" to our den - I am a huge fan of IKEA Hacks

I'm not into massive cherry furniture. I truly prefer the clean lines, and I feel like if a piece gets scratched/ruined, I can easily replace it and not feel awful about it.

IKEA furniture can last if you buy the right pieces and take decent care of it.

This is me too! ... just a few years older than you though! Bought IKEA when I didn't have a lot of money. Now that I have money, I still prefer IKEA.

They do have solid wood furniture, but you have to look at the tags in the store to see what things are made of. I have some old children's solid pine furniture that's survived for 15 years, and is still doing fine. Does not look like fine furniture, but still looks great in a child's room.

I buy lots of Ikea stuff. I like the cheap flowerpots, some bedding items, cheap pillow covers and especially like the curtains, which are incredibly cheap. I bought velvet curtains for a fraction of what I'd pay elsewhere. They look like I paid double or triple what I paid, and they are all cotton, really very attractive. If you look up close, you'll see they are unlined, but the fabric drapes well, and they look very nice. I bought a bed frame for $100 to use as a daybed in my office. It looks modern, yes, that's what I wanted.

I like the clean lines of most Ikea stuff. It goes very well in my country house, and with all my country antiques.

I also have Ikea kitchen cabinets. So much cheaper than almost any other cabinet brand, and they look really nice. I bought the wood doors, which are sturdy and attractive. Most people would never imagine my kitchen came from Ikea. The appliances and countertops I got elsewhere (on sale). Ikea is great when you need something fast and cheap.

I don't like European modern style, but the stuff I've bought at Ikea looks fairly traditional, just cleaner, which I like.
