Worst movie ever. Totally trivializes the Holocaust.

I agree. I stopped it after 25 minutes.

Stepmom
Terms of Endearment
The Piano
Leaving Las Vegas

Pleasantville always makes me cry, but more in a happy-release way, instead of a just plain sad way.

omg brian's song and love story should be listed in the definitions of "tearjerker."

my girl, mask and beaches used to make me cry back in middle/high school.

Brian's Song

They used to show us Brian's Song every year in middle school. I have no idea why. We'd all be bawling messes by the end. I haven't watched it since.

Up in the Air? Interesting. I don't think of that as a tearjerker.

More like a laugh. I suggest "The Way We Were"

Philadelphia!

The last scene, with the Neil Young song in the background, and the friends and family gathered....man.

I can't watch Steel Magnolias anymore because it has a direct relation to my life - hits too close. Used to be my fail-safe good cry.

I really liked "About Time" - got it from the Redbox this week. Didn't make me cry, just tear up, but can see how it would for some people.

I remember as a kid bawling for days after watching Old Yeller. I wonder if it still holds up as a sad movie now that I'm adult.

I cried like a baby when I watched "The Champ". I think there are sad movies and then just all around depressing movies. I hate depressing ones (like No Country for Old Men) but I do love a good cry like Terms of Endearment.

How has no one mentioned The Notebook or Toy Story 3? Both leave me a blubbering idiot. Fail-safe crying mechanisms.

Then how about "Schindler's List?"

Or "The Diary of Anne Frank?"

Anything based on reality about the Holocaust.
