I used to love goat and feta... now I can’t tolerate it. The thought of eating it makes me want to throw up. It is very strange.

I love goat cheese. Unfortunately my DH hates it so I really don’t use it when cooking anymore. I have it as a snack sometimes or on salads. But I love stinky cheeses.

Love all these cheeses. There must be a gene like for cilantro.

I also hate goat cheese, it is the only food that will make me gag instantly and leave a disgusting farm taste that stays as i breath in and out. I have tried it many times thinking it might hsve been a one time thing but never found one that didnt make me gag. I got cold cuts the other day and the deli guy must not have wipped the machine clean first bit i took i could taste the cheese had to throw away all the meat. Does anyone know y it tastes like that to some of us

Is that feta cheese? I hate them. Only like Brie cheese. No other cheese.

I also think it tastes the way a goat smells.
And I have smelled goats...I think that is the problem!

For those of you averse to goat cheese, have you tried the Chavrie brand? It is soft, spreadable and very mild. My kids will even eat this melted on pasta or spread on crackers. It comes in a plastic container rather than a "log." There's a Trader Joe's version that is similar.

I can't stand anything goat or sheep. Ack. I wish this stupid trend would just roll over and die already. Feta can see me in hell. What really chaps me is when I see a menu where every single item has a fatal flaw like goat cheese, Feta, sausage, mushrooms or seafood. They're the only things I won't eat and they're everywhere.

This thread makes me think about a delicious quinoa and goat cheese dish I enjoyed at a restaurant located somewhere around Dupont Circle a few months ago.

Wish I could remember the name of the restaurant so that I can track down the recipe. . .

Goat meat is delicious. Goat cheese is hideous.
