It depends on what business they're in. There was an executive in my neighborhood who had a 24/7 armed guard in his driveway.

Yes, it is true. They also had dogs patrolling the perimeter of their property, and if anyone entered the home it would have meant several layers of security had already been breached. I cant' remember everything else she mentioned.
