Additionally, the building was renovated last summer so it just needs tweaking to bring it up to code for the school to move in.

Based on the last communication with parents, assuming that everything proceeds as planned, the current plan is to move over the Summer. There's been no discussion of renovating over the next year and THEN moving.

The new space was previously used by a charter school, so there are already classrooms, etc., in place. The entire space doesn't need to be renovated....

exactly. i don't believe they're going to move this year. I think they'll stay and share with DCI

I'm interested if there has been any communication to current parents regarding necessary renovations to the new location. Timeline seems tight to have everything ready for August.

But there is a difference between "officially announced" and "staying at their current location"

There is also a lot to complete before the school moves into the new location, they may announce and chose to stay at the current location for one more year.

Thanks for the info and encouragement. The new location would be awesome for us. If you don't mind sharing, what was your waitlist # (or range, if you prefer)? I know hard to extrapolate to this year given different factors in play, but still gives a general idea, I hope. We are on the PS3 waitlist.
