Also, my DS needs to make sure any girl he has sex with is 18 or older. A friend's son had sex with an underage girl who lied to him about her age. Later he broke up with this girl and she went crazy and threatened to go to the police and charge him with statutory rape! This boy was so traumatized that he ended up leaving school! I'm going to tell DS to check ID before he has sex, as well as always wear protection.

This type of girl scares me to death. I'll be telling my DS the same thing.

How depressing -- it is not like they are going off to prison. Maybe need a new thread, how to let go of your HS kid . . . what about, take a class because it is seems interesting, get out of your comfort zone early on, if you miss class do so because you stayed up all night talking with dormmates from different parts of the country or world or you were exploring some obscure philosopher, cook crazy stuff with friends because it is fun, explore the city area you are in, have the best time you can have while keeping your academics in line.

Exactly! My first experience was with a girl who could have passed for 19-20. She lied about her age and in truth she was 15! Luckily I didn't busted, but I hate to think how it would have turned out if things went south.
