PP, I like the Kork Ease sandals (the gold ones), but generally don't (and can't) pay over $100 for a pair of shoes.
I am the one who posted the Kork ease links. I know they are expensive, but I can say they will last a long time. Mine have at least. I have a pair that I wear quite often and I am on year 3 or 4 with them.

I like the first pair but not the second. I don't think the first pair is old laddish, and I'm 36. Shop at nordstrom, Neimans, j crew, not old lady dept.

Maybe you shouldn't stop yourself. Or at least find comfy shoes that are a bit more stylish than what OP posted. I saw my grandmothers feet and what she did to them. I see my MIL and SIL and their feet and what they do to them. My MIL feet are pretty much deformed from wearing trendy shoes. My mother had to have foot surgery for bunions.
I am a person who appreciates a beautiful and well designed pair of shoes, but who will never wear them because of what I have seen. I wish I could wear them sometimes, but my feet are in quite a bit of pain when I do try. So I listen to them and don't.

If you're open to a wedge with a bit of a heel, the Ralph Lauren Cecilia style are very comfortable and come in multiple colors. I have 3 pairs of them.
