The dr did tell me that they could open the cervix and drain things out, but I would assume the pain would end up coming back again after a few months?

My tolerance level must have been really high, because absolutely no pain at all. They did give me relaxers and pain meds, but never felt pain. I highly recommend speaking with him. The afternoon of the surgery, after a nap, we drove to Lake Ontario and walked around all the frozen beaches a little. Definitely worth the trip! It was also covered by my insurance.

I am either spotting or bleeding almost all month. I may have 4 or 5 days a month that I don't. The cramping and pressure never seems to go away. I am now scheduled for a hysterectomy that will take place in less than 2 weeks. I am terribly nervous but I am honestly at the end of my rope. I am tired of feeling unwell all of the time and in constant pain.

Severe lower abdominal pain for a day during the time I should be getting my "period". An ultrasound reviled a hematometra and now my doctor says hysterectomy & that scares me.
