Our counters are actually very dark brown (almost black) and we have white cabinets, but we used Benjamin Moore: Smoke Embers #1466 and like it. This also extends into the family room. This is what we have. Looks very modern and I love that I can use accessories (art, pillows, vases, etc.) bring in seasonally-appropriate colors that really pop (I love yellow in summer, orange in fall, red over the winter holidays, green in the spring).
