Started at 5; graduated at 16; skipped 2 grades. (I don't recommend skipping.)

17. I skipped a year in elementary school.

Pretty much everyone was 17 or 18 depending on their birthday. Cut-off where I grew up was Dec 31st. So you started anywhere from 4 yrs 8 months to 5 years 8 months and graduated 13 years later. very few kids where we lived skipped or failed a grade. A few of each but that was it.

Graduated high school just after turning 17, as I skipped a grade and had a late spring birthday. Had enough credits to finish college at 20 but my parents wanted me to stay in school another semester.

My children have late spring birthdays too; one started K on time and the other should be able to as well.

Started at 4. Graduated at 17. November bday.

June birthday.

Graduated a few weeks before I turned 18.

I was 5 in kindergarten . I failed second grade and graduated at 19.

16 since I skipped a grade. Finished college at 20.

I was 18, turning 19 in August. Definitely one of the older ones.

Not true about red shirting "not allowed." My DH was.

OP, we also had higher drop out rates. But the bigger issue is--who really gives a shit if you were 5 or 6 in K or 17 or 18 graduating h.s.?

Started at 4, graduated at 17. STEM undergraduate, then MBA. I understand there is a big difference between age 4 and 5, but do people really think there is a big difference between 17 and 18?

17. November birthday, started K at 4. Did well academically and my original elementary school wanted me to skip 2nd grade, but my mother said no way. Continued to do well academically through high school, college and grad school.
