I have a pair of black leather loafers by Etienne Aigner that wear like iron and aren't very flexible. They're okay looking with jeans.

I have a couple pair of shoes by Earthies and they are very supportive and comfortable. I love their wedge heels!

Ha! That was when I got my clogs--to even out the walking cast leg! Mine are Born, though.

OP, look at Naot (run narrow), Ahnu, Born, Keen, Kork-Ease or Clarks for shoes that are comfortable and have some arch support. Or go to Walking Company and buy an insole you can put into dress shoes or sneakers (you will need two different ones).

I have non-dansko clogs (cant bring myself to spend the money for something that fugly, got these for much cheaper: http://www.landsend.com/products/womens-camden-clog-shoes/id_257504) and the patent leather still makes me nervous. I'm not in love with it at all.

Ballet flats gave me Achilles tendonitis and I had to wear a cast for two months and do PT!

Lol thank you for this, it made me giggle. I think I'll put mine on tonight (I have like 3 different pairs since I"m a nurse) and go in and ask DH "hey...you like what you can see in the reflection of my shoes?"
