Social scientist here. It would not make sense for MCPS to share the results of the field test on individual kids. The field test really is intended to test the test. They have to try out each question, and see if it works like they think it will. They will probably throw out some questions that are in the PARCC in the field test as they revise it to be the finalized version.
Here's an analogy: the field testing of the PARCC is like trying out a new yardstick. If your yardstick was not ready yet and being field tested, it may be that on some inches of the yardstick, the inch is measuring at 1.5 inches, and on others, the inch is .75 inch. It is not yet a reliable measure, so giving you the results would not mean a lot. Since the results are not yet reliable, it is not appropriate to use them for real-world purposes, like saying how one kid did. They are not real results yet.
Participating in the field test is for the greater good. It is important the the full range of kids (from different academic levels, SES levels, genders, etc) be in the field test so that it applies to the full range of kids out there.

If it's a field test, doesn't that mean they're making sure the questions are valid? What validity would student scores on the test have if the test itself is not yet valid? Why release such scores?
