Has OP even written back? Would anyone's answer change if OP's husband was a surgeon or a pilot? There are some people for whom a good night's sleep is important for the safety of others.

But even if this is true, then another member can sacrifice. If Dad absolutely has to sleep in the guest room, then mom moves in with the baby, and gives up the master, or something.
I can imagine circumstances where Dad's sleep is the #1 priority, but that takes 1 room. Prioritizing all 5 members of the family over the sister is absurd.

Does DH not really want your sister to come? Was this an agreed upon house guest?
Does he see it not helpful seeing as it means he doesn't get a good nights sleep?
I can see if a woman on here said that she doesn't like her MIL to visit because she doesn't sleep well as she has to give up her bed etc..
You have 5 bedrooms - your sister definitely gets her own room. If your DH needs his sleep to function at his job and he will be up all night for nights in a row then the kids should bunk together and dad can sleep in the other room or dad can sleep on an air mattress in the living room.

Daddy gets the whole house to himself and a good night's sleep for a change.

This is unbelievable. I'm sorry your husband is such an ass. I can't believe you were not able to find some sort of acceptable solution with 4 available bedrooms (sister obviously gets her own room). You have plenty of options:
-3 and 6 year old share a room, OR
-Dad sleeps in the master, OR
-Mom sleeps in the baby's room, OR
-Dad sleeps with the 3 or 6 year old, OR
-Dad sleeps at a hotel because he's the worst
I also thought this would be a post about where to fit visiting sister in a small 2 BR with the new baby, which is what I'm facing! She'll be sleeping on the couch in the only living space because the baby's room doesn't have room for a bed or air mattress. I think you should be able to figure something out in a 5 BR house.
