Yay - 2 hour delay. We're headed off to school soon. I've been told by a PP to "tone it down" and homeschool. All because I love and hope for snow. Why don't you all HOPE HARDER that there isn't snow and by your logic, there won't be. I'm now going to hope for another storm next week. I'm putting everyone on notice of that.

I don't get this. There will be a snow day if there is a snow day, regardless of what people hope for. It's not like a snow day is more likely if somebody hopes for a snow day -- or less likely if somebody hopes that school will open on time.

What I find ridiculous is how ignorant many of you are.

Snow = nature

You can't control nature, people. And while you may bash the school system for closing or delaying, your bickering and stupid comments will get you nowhere.

These are YOUR children. Learn to deal. And learn from this week-long mini vacation by PREPARING for the possibility that we may suffer through this again.

back up childcare, anyone??????????????????/

You are blaming me and my kind who like snow for causing other people like you to suffer. My enjoyment of snow caused someone's hvac to break down. My laundry and family was at the expense of your well-being. Somehow I think you got confused along the way. By your reasoning you're the idiot and I am all powerful!! Now it's definitely going to snow. Get ready for it and call out tomorrow bc schools will be closed. You shouldn't have ceded all that power to me.

Thank God you are not all powerful, because you clearly have no emphathy either. Yeah, you are enjoying the snow. But think about how much damage this storm has caused already. Tone it down! It is no longer polite.

There is more to the county than the part you can see when you look out your window.

Just ran out to put some things in the car to get a head start on the morning. Fell on my ass. It's slick out there.

Just came back from cleaning the car.
The roads are alright but the sidewalks are very slick.
I don't understand why they put so much salt. It is melting the snow then refreezing and causing black ice.

I will take a delay because after that mini-break, no one in my house was in bed at a decent time!

My house is totally freezing and my street is juuuuust passable enough right now to get out when we have to. I am terrified the pipes are going to freeze as there is no residual warmth in my house. My son has been plopped in front of screens with space heaters to keep him in a warm place while we wiat for estimates, quotes, and repairmen. We need to get out of this house tomorrow and put him in school. Any more cold, snow, or ice and I will finish the rest of my nervous breakdown. We just have to make I through to the 50 degree weather tomorrow afternoon.

The idiots with the fresh laundry and oh-so-awesome families don't give a sh*t about people like you. They just want to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Goody gumdrops!

They're not ordering the snow, they're just enjoying it. I would love another snow day, too.
