So sad to hear of Ruthanne's passing. I attended several of her Music Together classes.

One of the women died.

It's been pushed back to the 5 o'clock hour. Not home from work yet but a neighbor is reporting all seems quiet on our block (about 3 streets up).

Anyone see the news conference/update? I'm at the store and missed it

I'd say with the time lapse since the incident and the amount of police presence, you should feel comfortable heading home. That being said, I do understand your uncertainty with this guy still out there somewhere. My plan is to go to the grocery store after work to give police a little more time to search. I do plan to get home before dark, though.
