I'd probably do the same thing your husband did, OP. I'm not saying it's the most mature thing to do, but if someone is giving me grief for adding to their problems and there's a solution right there, I'm going to suggest it.

I'm female. And I think you should probably apologize to him later. What you said was b*tchy and didn't really need to be said. If you resent driving him to the metro, you should talk about that and figure out if there's a better solution for getting him to work.
