This whole show is the definition of nepotism and family connections. Everyone involved with it is related to someone famous. You're right that Williams is the least talented, though.
Whaaaat? My understanding is that many of the central characters come from artistic families, but none of them are "connected" in the way that you infer. Williams' father is a network news anchor, but that's still a stretch.
David mamet's daughter = shoshanna. Lena Dunham is the child of a NYC-famous writer. "Jessa" is her best childhood friend from NYC school.
Zosia Mamet was a television actor before Girls. And why wouldn't Dunham collaborate with friend and colleague Jemima Kirke? I work in a creative field and frequently collaborate with friends on projects. Dunham's father is a painter and her mother is a photographer. She comes from a creative family. How is that nepotism?

The nudity is irritating, but I'm irritated by the excessive unnecessary nudity in a lot of shows.
I like Game of Thrones. I think it's a good show. BUT I hate all of the unnecessary nudity.
No, I'm not a prude. I just want to watch a show without constantly having to see boobs and vaginas and penises. I'm really tired of this idea that for a show to be "authentic," it has to be soft porn.
And yes, I apply that view to all of the shows.
One of the things I really liked about Enlightenment, which sadly was canceled, is that it didn't have any nudity. It was a good show, and it didn't need nudity to tell a story.
No, I don't agree with Lena Dunham's point, that they were trying to be authentic by showing the characters doing things people normally do. Everyone poops, but I don't need to see actresses pooping in a show to make their characters authentic.
The brilliance of good art -- in television and in writing -- is that you can tell an authentic story without having to make it like a reality show or, in the case of a written work, include every possible detail of life.

Clearly you missed the thread a couple of weeks ago about banned words for 2014, so let me get you up to speed. "Totes" is out. Do not return with it.
Not a Suburgatory fan I take it? That show is amaze.
Wasn't this also banned along with "totes"?
