I know a male Sage. He's the very Ivy league, squash playing, uppity type. But I like the name. Wanted to consider it for our daughter but my husband said stripper name (to be fair he pulled out the stripper name card anytime he didn't like one of my picks but didn't have some other reason).

Saige is the American Girl doll of the year for 2013 so it obviously isn't made up. I kind of like it.

My niece's middle name is Sage. I think it's adorable. But she is a great kid so her name could be anything and I would automatically love it.

I know a guy named Sage here in DC. He is near 40 years old. I don't know any kids though named Sage.
