What about that post is inaccurate? Are you telling me that some police don't turn the other way when they notice a white person breaking the law, especially minor crimes such as possession of marijuana?

Nor do they just look the other way when it's a white person breaking the law."Since my husband is a police officer and I a former prosecutor, I can state with 100% certainty, you speak from pure ignorance.

I think this is what caused PP post.

Sometimes the parents are called. However, when black teenagers are pulled over and there is a scent of pot swirling through the air, the police call in a dog for a probable cause search. That kid is arrested.
Anybody been following that case in Miami about the Black man arrested 42 times for trespassing. He has been arrested for trespassing at a convenience store. The kicker is he works at the store. I wonder if he can sue and win against Miami PD for false arrest and harassment.

So, as police officers and prosecutors you are saying you go around arresting and prosecuting black people for no good reason whatsoever, and that you just look the other way whenever white people commit crimes?
If that's how you conduct business, then YOU should be the ones locked up.
Good God, you are truly stupid!
I'm the one who should be saying "Good God!"
Let's be clear here. I will ask again if you believe the routine practice (i.e. OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF ARRESTS AND PROSECUTIONS) of police and prosecutors was to randomly arrest and prosecute blacks for no reason whatsoever, with no evidence whatsoever. And for them to end up in prison, that would also have to mean planted evidence, lies under oath, false witness, et cetera - and a grand conspiracy of all involved knowing and participating in it. And likewise, that a white person committing a crime in broad daylight in front of witnesses will not be arrested and that there is likewise a grand conspiracy to do this. Even here in DC, with its majority African American police force.
So far a bunch of you have said YES and even went further to say you are cops and prosecutors and that as cops and prosecutors you routinely participate in that grand conspiracy to arrest blacks for no reason and likewise routinely look the other way when whites commit crimes.
Did you just not understand what was being said or are you communicating with us from some bizarre parallel universe?

I am also grouchy and unfocused when hungry, and my kid is even worse. Fortunately, the money in my pocket means he never goes to school hungry.
Can't really use that as an excuse when free meals are available. http://www.dc.gov/DCPS/Beyond+the+Classroom/Food+Services/Application+for+Free+and+Reduced+Meals

You really believe that Americans are that racist? Really?
I'm guessing you're a white person?
Let's start with this: African Americans represent 12% of the total population of drug users, but 38% of those arrested for drug offenses, and 59% of those in state prison for a drug offense.

Right; police tend to arrest dealers vs. users. I see you tried to equate "users" with those arrested for drug "offenses"
