I like the idea of the Red Clouds, from last week's Post. They wouldn't even have to change the logo much.

It's all about money as to why Dan Snyder hasn't made the change. It will cost a lot of money to re-brand the team, change the logo, print new paraphrenalia, etc.

FWIW, I've lived in DC my whole life. I lived through the glorious Gibbs era, Theisman, Riggo and never thought of the team name as offensive. Til someone put it to me as above.

Would you go up to a Native American and call them a Brave? Would you go up to someone of Scandinavian descent and call them a Viking? Would you go up to someone and call them a Steeler, or a Padre, or a Packer?

Many team names would be highly offensive if you directly called a person by them.

And, that is why the team is doomed under his ownership. I believe in positive and negative spirits and Snyder permeates negativity and all the spirits around him and team are negative. You ever notice how whenever winning coaches and former or current star players come to the team, their career tank or stall? Snyder ruins them with his negative spirits. RGIII was finished after last season but if he went to another team, he would be better off. If the name were changed, it might just lift those negative spirits.
