Question: when one of them dies, who will take care of the other one? Have they made provisions for this? Or do they expect you to do it, even after their terrible treatment of you?
I've seen this exact scenario play out. They leave their money to the grandchildren, deliberately skipping over their child(ren) out of spite. The child(ren) come to their aid when they fall ill or become unable to care for themselves only to find out that they were disinherited over an earlier spat and the parent(s) never bothered to update their will.
