It's an unfair comparison. Why would I compare the sex I was having at 22 before I met my husband, when I had my life ahead of me and was free and full of optimism, and was with young guys who had no clue how life was going to beat them down. And I expected very little from these guys because I knew they were transient parts of my life and there would be another one in a few months. Comparing that to late 30s, two kids, a career and a husband who is dealing with the same, it's not a comparison. It's two vastly different things.

Now if you are comparing me when I first met my DH to sex I had previously, yes, he was on par if not the best. I wouldn't have married him otherwise. Sex is not going to stay the same with anyone.

And it was the worst decision I ever made...the crazy got worse and worse the more we were committed (and she kept demanding more and more commitment all the time). The whole relationship lasted several years, but the marriage part was < 6 mos.

Now I have a wonderful husband with whom sex is good but in no way torrid, but with whom I split the tasks that make life hard and have a happy home. No regrets at all.

Yes, and it shocks me because our first few times were disasters of epic proportions. I think we jumped into it too fast, before we really knew each other and so it was awkward and clumsy. But once we had more time together, we hit our groove. It's also the most open and honest sexual relationship I've ever had. Before him, I never was with a man who would talk to about sex in such an honest way. Being able to share what works, what doesn't, and what we want to try, without any embarrassment or shame, makes it all so much better.

I married my high school sweetheart too, but long after high school with a few sexual partners before him. None were as good as he is. We've unfortunately had many problems in our marriage, and there has not been any sex lately due to depression and other issues....but the mere memory of his touch gets me going. I hope that happens again. Things are starting to turn around for the better, so I am hopeful!
