If they wanted to be role models they would be at those schools on their time working with kids who want to go into the arts.
I went to a school in Ohio where a very famous actor went, he spent a lot of his time with us working on our school productions, singing, dancing, improv. He never came in a for hire car, he never came with a group of handlers, he just showed up, rolled up his sleeves and gave back.
I have not seen or heard of any celeb that would do that now. That person I speak of who would come to our school several times a year, Paul Newman.

Oh yeah? Well that's just fiction. Sidwell had its real-life version of "Breaking Bad" when a Sidwell grad Hugh Elsbree, was busted for running a Methamphetamine lab out of a DC apartment. Fortunately, he seems to have avoided trouble since serving a period under house arrest.

My point is that to GR is obviously having a successful career and at some point may reach the level of JLD, OW, KC, HC etc., but today, she is not on that level. Is she a role model? Sure! But is she a role model in the same way as the others? No! Giving interviews on the red carpet and producing shows on E! is not the same as staring in Seinfeld (which still runs 15 years after it ended), The New Adventures of Old Christine (which still runs), and Veep and winning a host of Golden Globes and Emmys in the process.
Also, Hillary might have had marriage problems but you must admit that she came out of that experience w/o looking back. I despise the Clinton's but have respect for Hillary. Scary to admit but I am a fan. She is brilliant, sharp and ruthless.

Somehow JLD is considered the intellectual and my point is GR has a masters..she is not a dummy. Don't watch her shows that she has helped create..not just acted in..created..but putting her down..which is what was happening..is wrong.
