I'm sorry about your nieces situation, but.....flying for 8 hours is less likely to leave you with problems than taking a car trip. In a plane you can get up and walk as often as you need to; every 30 minutes if you want.
Anyway, I'll be the outlier and say I don't think it's a big deal. If you by freak chance deliver that early, you will be in a country with much cheaper health care costs than here. And I would imagine that in London you could get the same level care as in the US. And by 33 weeks, you have a pretty robust preemie on your hands. Much worse would be delivering a 24-30 week preemie in a foreign country, as that's an area of care that the US tends to specialize in. But honestly the chances of delivering then are so, so low.
