Wow, I feel old.

I loved the Insect Club. They sold Death Cigarettes with a black label with a skull and cross bones on the wrapper. The music was so much fun, and the bar was just the best!

El Azteca?!?! I used to hang out there with my friends also in the late '80s. Where was 15 Minutes? It sounds so familiar. I have so many fond memories from my party days during those times!

15 Minutes was at 1515 F or 1515 Fifteenth St, wasn't it? I loved the place, but now I can't even remember the address.

Tracks circa 1992 on Thursday nights. So there. I was under 21 and still remember the green circles they put on my hands to mark me as a non-drinker.

Early 90s was:

1) Tracks
2) Quigleys
3) V Street (rave warehouse)
4) 5th column (loved it in the beginning!!)

I loved Tracks on the early '90s.

Is Decades still around? That place was fun.

Yes on Tracks, Poseurs, Cagney's, 9:30, Cities, the Vault, Back Alley, etc. But only during the week. El Azteca, La Pied au Cochon, Trio's etc for late night eats. The weekend we rested and recouped. And too many suburbanites on the weekends. There was a regular crowd that went to the same clubs during the week, some we knew, some we didn't. In the early 90's we started hitting Joe Englert's places. It was a blast, but I can't imagine how I ever had the stamina for that lifestyle. Now I'm old, married and have three kids. No regrets.

State of the Union, on U Street. A few doors down from Ben's Chili Bowl. Great house music on Sundays, DJ'ed by Sam "the Man" Burns. He worked at 12" Vinyl record store in Dupont Circle during the week.

Ahh and Red Club, on Jefferson Place. The only "after-hours" club back then, and no sign on the door either.

Then around the corner, Club Five (whatever it's called now), 1223 across the street, and Andalu below Club Five.
