Got a cheap refurbished Dell in 4th grade, but it finally died over the summer. New Dell which we expect will last next 5 years through 8th-12th.

12. Got her a Macbook Pro which is what she uses at school and is comfortable with.

Only computers in our house have been adult work laptops and a desktop in our room so DD has had very little access to a computer at home. She is starting 7th grade this year and we are getting her a laptop that will be used only for school work and half an hour of Youtube a day and will stay in the kitchen. We will also use that laptop while at home.
