There has been a very strong Landon/Princeton connection over the years including Landon's iconic coach Bordley. I'm not from a Landon family, but anyone who's been around this area knows that connection.

Those who are younger may not be aware that Princeton was all male until 1969 and had more of an emphasis on athletics as part of the development of a young man than you see today.
For you younger folks not alive in 1746, you may not be aware that Princeton was founded during the Great Awakening and had more of an emphasis on the development of a young man as a minister than you see today.

Head of Sidwell went to Earlham (Quaker school).

IMHO Sidwell is more like the Penn of Washington’s private schools
STA is the Harvard of Washington’s private schools
Gonzaga is the Notre Dame of Washington’s private schools
Prep is the Georgetown (duh) of Washington’s private schools
Landon is the Princeton of Washington’s private schools
GDS is the MIT of Washington’s private schools
I read the "Penn" thing as an anti-Semitic reference.
I'm not OP I went to Penn and I don't see why you think the comparison would be anti-Semitic.
Probably a benign Quaker reference. Both schools sports teams are even called the Quakers. My brother went from
Sidwell to Penn so was a Quaker for 18 years.

Not to nit pick, but students aren't Quakers just because they attend a Quaker school. The schools are just like any other religious school.
