Yes if you're stuck In TC then pimmet hills is a great location. Otherwise why the heck would you want to live there? TP isn't for everyone but I think it's character is at least clear and known.

NP here. LOVE the TP description, BTW!!
PH is for those who are lucky enough to work in Tysons, and have a thirty second commute. Haters are in fact gonna hate.
The PH house is nice because it is new and in a convenient spot. The schools are actually reasonable, and you can walk to Tysons (are we not supposed to say that word here?) if you wanted to, now that there are (GASP!) sidewalks.
Not many people can afford new, as you can tell from this board, so why not buy new where it is convenient and safe? Having seen PH over the last few years, it is turning over very rapidly, and will be mostly new houses before too long.
In fact, most of the close in areas are going this route, to the dismay of the old house owners. They can't stop change, whether they like it or not! No matter where you live, the old houses will resent the new houses. Not that they would admit this.
Funny, I've never known stupid people to live in new houses; how do you think they got where they are? Not by being dumb.
And have you SEEN some of those so called "additions"? No thank you.
I would consider a new house in PH if I could afford it myself.
Sorry, but most of us on DCUM don't consider living in a tacky new McMansion in Pimmit Hills to be the pinnacle of success. At best it's a concession that all the surrounding areas are more expensive.

OK Rat Lady
Don't know if rat lady wrote this, but I actually agree with this poster. I think the outside just doesn't come close to matching the inside. It has zero curb appeal, but it is lovely inside.
