Pp here with the strong gender disappointment. Yes, you'll hear about it. But put a smile on your face and just say "Yes, two wonderful boys! Aren't we lucky!" and that'll usually be the end of it. The ache won't go away altogether but the joy in your sons will be much much more powerful. Mine are watching the black stallion with me right now all cuddled p on the couch. It's fabulous. Thank you! And it's partly because I'm sick, but I want you to know that in the last 24 hours my sons have brushed my hair (twice), made me hand-written cards ("I think you're better than Daddy" - the ultimate compliment!) and asked to lay in bed and cuddle. They're 7 and 5. It really is more joyous and sweet and happy than I could have ever imagined. My older one is starting to get really tall and lean and strong and GORGEOUS. It's a pride I could have never imagined, only having wanted daughters. To see my sons growing so straight and tall and true and kind - it makes me feel badly for people who don't have any sons. And there is NO WAY ON EARTH I could have ever predicted that. I was absolutely one of those people who pitied those boy-families. Hang tight and have fun!
