Most of my staff went to ivy schools or Stanford. So did I. Am not really looking for my team to free me up to play, though, so I can't speak to that. My team is a strong and effective group, though, and I am very proud of our work.

GDS was never the best at placing Ivies from. They just shout the loudest. The big Three - STA, NCS and Sidwell have always had very strong showings. STA and NCS get kids in on academics + have the added placements from their strong sports programs. Sidwell holds the Ivy crown this year in the area, perhaps the nation, if what I have read here is true.

There are a lot. I can think of 20. I don't know any that were self made whose kids are going to HYP.

The short answer to OP is “whichever school admits the most students destined to be admitted to Ivy League schools” (because they are excellent students and/or have some hook (legacy, athletic, diversity) that will help get them into an Ivy League school). The top private schools in this area are all capable of allowing students destined for an Ivy League school to reach their potential. The choice of a school for your unique child depends on fit – don’t expect any school to offer a path to the Ivy League that other top private schools do not offer.
