OP,

You must realize that you're asking women who are FTMs at 35+, so you'll find that many here will be comfortable with having a baby so late in life.

Though emotionally, she's probably an experienced parent, toughest aspect of mothering.

Hopefully, your aunt will find a supportive, non-shaming network of friends to help her get through the pregnancy and life with a newborn.

Yes., she is.

Really I think it boils down to this, it is not your business to say when someone should have a baby. A child is a blessing, and I am sure it wasn't planned. She she kill it? Raise your own child and let her do what she feels is right for her. How many people on DCUM have husbands that are 50 or older when a their child is born??? What the hell is the difference.

I would never plan on a baby at 50 but if I happened to become pregnant at that age, I would certainly have the baby. My grandmother was almost that age when she had my mother and she and my grandfather did a fine job raising her.

You didn't just say you were shocked though OP. Reread your original post. It was pretty judgmental.

Totally this. What makes you think you should have any right to say what she should be doing? Get out of her business

Never said I had a right. Just surprised and shocked she was going through with it.

I'm pro-choice, but if I found myself pregnant at 50, I'd carry to term.

I certainly wouldn't seek out pregnancy at that age, but if I had an oops, I'd carry it and keep it.

I really just hope to hell that I'm never in this position. My only was an ooops, but hell, I had consensual sex. Sex is for procreation. I agree that abortion should be the last resort, also pro-choice.

My grandmother had my father at 46. That was especially rare in that day. I would not hope for a baby at that age but if it happened I probably would not terminate it.

Oh god, I'm an asshole. I misread that. You're right, 50-35 = 15. SO sorry.
