Subject: Preppiest place to live in area?
You clearly don't know anything about CCV or HR. I'm an alum, so I know. It's so preppy that it's an enigma. The people who live there are original owners and their adult kids who buy into the area whenever a house comes on the market. It's like Greenwich, but everyone is catholic. You just won't understand it unless you've experienced it.
Go to Easter mass and count the bows on the girls. They wear them in a certain way (top third of hair pulled to the side with a preppy bow like the ones from orient expressed).

Anyone can ape the prep style of dress. Prep is so much more than the clothes. I think you may not know what upper class preppy is. Real preps don't think that much about the style. It's just ingrained. Difficult to explain.

Not the BS crowd. I'm telling you I saw several grown men wearing critter pants at Christmas eve mass at Holy Redeemer. It's preppy. Go to mass there on Easter and look at the clothes. The moms are super thin, tan, toned, blonde with bobs with high end preppy clothing. If that's not preppy, then I don't know what is. Please post links to preppy images. I think you might not understand what upper class preppy is.

That may be true, but it is not preppy. It's a clique. Sounds like the Blessed Sacrament subculture. Might be something, but they will never be considered true preps. But who cares really? It's just that is the purpose of this thread.

If you consider million dollar homes, private schools, country club memberships, and beach houses in Bethany poor, then I guess so. But there's zero diversity here....all white, catholic and republican....can't say that about Chevy chase.
