What if a new forum opens that's directed solely to the people we (as a country) have defined as "wealthy"? The "Over $250,000 HHI Only" forum. Would that satisfy those unsatisfied here?

I'm going to ignore your stupid grammar correction. I'm sure you NEVER made a typo even though you knew better.

Here are the things that I struggle with, but no one really gives a shit about past the standard "of you poor thing."

1) Paying rent (owning is out of the question). I had to buy my son all new clothes (we're talking Target, consignment stores, etc.) and a new jacket so he doesn't freeze and now I'm short on rent. His dad has been unemployed for a year and child support is dwindling to nothing.

1) If I take another day off because my child gets sick I won't get paid. I didn't take a vacation this year. All of my time is spent on doctor appointments, sick days, etc.

3) We are going to be living in a one bedroom for God knows how long because that is the only way my child will get to go to a decent school (not great, but decent)

I mean really people, get some f***ing perspective. Get your head our of your ass and realize that you don't have a problem.



How much more do you need for rent?

No of course not. But I don't think it's 100% luck that I'm not divorced and I have assets. I had asshole bosses but persevered because I wanted to keep the job. My husband can be a jerk but it's better for the kids that we stay married. I'm not going to stop whining on an anonymous forum because my issues are smaller than someone else's.

You know, a lot of this is quite simple. Don't complicate it. We don't know that the birth control failed, that she grew up in an unacceptable family and school system, etc. Is it 100% chance that she's in the situation she's in, and I'm in the much better situation I'm in?

15:26 got it right on the relationships - many of us are struggling, and looking for advice from others.

On the $$, the issue is likely that folks thought that a $300k HHI would mean easy-street (that's what we're led to believe in our society) and are SHOCKED, SHOCKED when it doesn't lead to happiness and all problems being taken care of. It's not right to deny the problems of any income level.

I like to read about these issues and how people deal with them. They are issues of our current society and deserve open debate.
