There is a Sonic on the Eastern Shore in MD (on the way to Ocean City). That's the only one I know of remotely in this area.

Depending on what part of the DC area you are in, there is also Sonic in Winchester, VA and Fredericksburg , VA.

Roy Rogers. It seems to making a comeback lately but nowhere close enough to DC to be convenient.

I'll agree with Taco Cabana......great tortillas, queso, and magaritas too. That's fast food anybody could like!

Taco Cabana - Mexican fast food, freshly made tortillas. DC does not need any more burger places.

Isn't there a wegmans in Silver Spring? I know it sent me coupons but I never went.

Wegman's is currently under construction in Germantown, and there is one in PG county (Laurel?).

WEIRD. Did the one in Lanham send me coupons in Silver Spring? Was I hallucinating?

You can get Graeter's at Fresh Markets.

But - I live a short drive from Graeter's and don't bother, because Mitchell's (Cleveland) beats the pants off Graeter's. I love/miss these guys and their goodies so much. They don't franchise yet, and might not because they're very Cleveland-centric, but if they ever do, you should be on that. They make the most fresh, delicious versions of classic flavors. Ever. Whole plump, slightly salty almonds in the Rocky Road. omg.

For fancy modern flavors made with pastured cream -

A little rich for my blood... $10-12 a pint. But people get irrational over the salty caramel.

There is a Jersey Mike's in Laurel. It's meh...I like other nearby sub shops more (you can get good Italian subs at 3 Brothers, and Potbelly's makes better subs around here).

Wegman's is in Lanham and Columbia, but not in Laurel.
