Yes, he's promising everyone a tax cut and promising that he won't increase the deficit to do it without any explanation of how he's going to pay for the tax cuts. He's promising to keep the most popular parts of Obamacare without explaining how he can pay for them without instituting the least popular parts. And he is doing it very effectively.
I have to say I've been baffled by Romney's performance on the campaign trail. He's not an unaccomplished and inexperienced person like Sarah Palin and yet he seemed completely in over his head. I couldn't understand how someone with so much career success could come across as so inept. The Romney I saw last night is the one I had been expecting to see all along.
And he was lying through his teeth.
