If not, you're pretty inconsiderate and self-involved. Depends how you define "jerk." A 2-hour flight? I'd have done it. It has nothing to do with babying pregnant woman or the husband being controlling (wtf, pp? project much?) It's just being a decent human - do unto others, etc.
Those seats do cost extra. Not a huge amount but generally around $40-60 more depending on the airline. Sometimes its not possible to get 2 seats together, especially if you are buying at the last minute. If it were for a child to sit with a parent, I would have switched in a moment but an adult can deal.
Its a 2 hour flight. I think the pregnant lady can survive 2 hours without sitting next to DH.
OP hasn't addressed whether or not she/he paid extra. I'm thinking no.
If its the same poster asking "did you pay?? did you pay??" OMG... let it go.
It was the OP's assigned seat. It was her's to give (or not) and maybe she actually has better things to do this morning that respond immediately to your question. No need to post it every 5 minutes.

I agree, though, that the couple could have chosen to pay more for seats together where both had leg room (if that was necessary for the woman) or could have given up the nicer seat for whoever was next to the husband if sitting together was more important.

Anonymous wrote:No, nothing wrong with the husband asking politely (which it sounds like he did), but also nothing wrong with the OP politely declining.
