I have never heard of anybody not getting into Visi and Prep. I am not in Bethesda so few people from our school actually want to go there. They have also decided not to go - distance/cost. Some kids are actually smart enough to make that decision.
I don't know about Prep, but Visi is very tough to get into. Definitely harder than St. John's.
I know some very average kids (no learning disabilities, just average) that got into St. John's this year.
How do you know these kids are "average".
How do I know they're average? In one instance, his parents said St. John's was the only place he was accepted. In another, he's struggled at his mediocre Catholic school.
