Alas, I guess I was not worthy of stalking. I stopped in the office at the one on Dupont Circle about ten years ago. I filled out some papers and they wanted to do some type of assessment. I admit, I was somewhat in a minor depression during this time of my life. Once they started talking about assessment, my girlfriend pulled me out of there. I never heard from them again.

Sadly, they were definitely NOT old enough to decide such a thing. The oldest was like 6. My theory, which will piss of adoptee parents (I'm one) is that it was because they were not her bio children and that they were bi-racial. They treat them like fashion accessories. It's horrible. Brad Pitt will do this to all those "world kids" of his and that crazy Angelina eventually, just watch.

I saw Kidman interview on this topic. She said the kids were old enough to make the decision (tweens or young teens maybe?) and that the LA lure was just too strong versus her life in Tennessee or wherever. So she let them decide and they chose to live with Tom.
The kids were only 5-6 and 8-9 at the time of the divorce. If at that age they wanted to stay with dad, I wonder why. Seems odd that Nicole thought at that age they were old enough to make a decision.
Tom and Nicole's divorce was finalized in 2001. Kids were born in 1992 and 1995.
The kids' decision to stay with Tom also didn't prevent Nicole from staying in LA to be near them. Her excuses are just that...excuses.

I think it's bad to judge her without knowing all that she was up against. When the excuse is a scary cult who convinces your kids you're a sociopath, so then the kids cut off most contact with you, I'd find that to be a damn good excuse.
So you wouldn't fight for your children if you thought they were involved with a scary cult?
Exactly PP. That would give me the incentive to fight harder. NK was not without her own financial clout. She also access to multiple media outlets if this was true.

That's fine she let them live with their father (he actually seems like a good dad), but you never see her with those kids. It really made me lose respect for her.
Agree. She reminds of those dads who get divorce and start a new family while forgetting about their first family.

That's weird, when Tom and Katie were on Oprah their beautiful home was shown. They lived in the mountains of Colorado or something, but it was definitely not LA or California for that matter.

Again, did you read the article? Nicole and Tom shared custody of their children. As the children got older, they were turned against her and didn't WANT to be with her. those older kids were frickin' brainwashed by the cult. they were turned against their mother. Katie cut off ties with the older girl who was working for her company a few months before this happened. She was seeking to cut off all ties with the cult. It is sad those adopted children did not have somebody strong enough to pull them out of that cult when they were young.

I'm the OP and I still don't understand why it hasn't been reported that Tom has gone to see Suri. Despite whatever Katie has on him, if Suri was really my child and I loved her, I would have made time and effort to go and see her. Even if he went to NY and Katie and her bodyguards wouln't let him in, I would have gone. Scientology cannot possibly be better than a hug or kiss or smile from your child. So something's not adding up to me.
It's one of the reasons why I believe he knew she wanted out and was going to do something (maybe just not this soon.)

I'm just the opposite. I admire her because she's not putting those kids out there in the public eye. Whether she's with them or not, the one thing is if she is with them, she's not touting them around the paparazzi - I respect her for that.
Yet you see her photographed with her three biological children. Your "respect" is a little misguided.
um, she only has 2 kids with keith urban. Unless she had another through a surrogate that I'm not aware of.
