As a side, a friend of mine tried to put together a group of friends for lunch. No one wanted to go because they did not want to hear her defend PS with her bazaar take on things!

If penn state had more alumni with as much character as your husband, they wouldn't be in this situation . In retrospect, penn state was the lucky one to have players who already had decency, they never needed nasty joe to teach them.

Tell your husband we are proud of him!

Yes, I'm positive that everyone who knew anything about S is gone! There's been a top to bottom cleansing! Send your kids and money to PSU! Oh and a board member just resigned. But I'm sure it's clear of all poor decision-makers now! It's business as usual in Happy Valley.

I think someone with a grudge against PSU is sock puppeting this thread. I have noticed that one particular poster (of many posts) makes similar spelling errors in all their posts.

Ms. Sock Puppet, I'm sorry you don't like Penn State. But I think you are a bad person yourself because you seem like the type that wants to grab a pitchfork and join/incite a mob. Shame on you.

Shame on the administrators at PSU, too. But the hundreds of thousands of alums and the town itself don't deserve your mob mentality-driven hysteria.

I don't get the people who think this tragedy is limited to Sandusky. In this case, it's 4 of the biggest decision makers at a major public university making awful, immoral and criminal decisions and actively covering up the crimes of a pedophile and allowing the child-grooming to continue in the school locker room and at football games. I mean if this is how they make decisions . . . No thank you. My kids can find anothere school.

Let's face it, there is no safer school in America to avoid child molesters than PSU from this point forward! The reputation will be repaired in a year or two as will the football program. Not an alum and no connection to the school presently. Son may apply in the fall, the scandal will not effect his decision one way or the other. It's an awful thing that happened for sure but Sanduskey is in jail for life and it killed Paterno. Move on.

this is very true, but it will take a very long time, and they're gonna have to remove that Joe Paterno statue. Last I read, it is staying.

Maybe it will magically disappear one night. Stranger things have happened.

I don't get the high than average applications for admission and alumni donations. The kool aid must be really tastey.
