I'm not sure if I pasted the link correctly but it looks like the GJ did not return an indictment. Thank goodness.
The poor father was beside himself. It sounds as though he was horrified he hurt the man to the extent he did.

Hope he gets off. Sounds like the police are recognizing him for the hero that he is.
In this country, we do not take the laws into our own hands. Murder is murder. This is not a case of self defense
In this country we do not allow our children to be hurt. Killing the sumbitch who raped my daughter? That's summa cum laude. All day.
You sound like a person who doesn't have kids.
No, he sounds like a person who rapes kids.

At worst he could be convicted of voluntary manslaughter, because the assault of his daughter was provocation. Even so, he was acting in defense of his daughter and it's unlikely a jury would convict him.
If I were the police, I would not arrest him; if I were the prosecutor, I would decline to prosecute; if I were a grand juror, I would refuse to indict; if I were a judge, I would not let this case get to the jury; if I were on the jury, I would never convict; if I were the governor, I'd pardon him. If all of those safeguards fail, and he ends up in jail, it is torches and pitchforks time, and anyone who has any part of charging or convicting him should be tarred and feathered forthwith.
