Subject: if you were renting your house, would you rent to me?
If you are in DC, you can't charge a deposit greater than the amount of one month's rent.

I'm looking at renting out my home with about 2000 sq ft of hardwood floors to a family with a dog. For the landlords out there, what is a sufficient deposit?
