The level of vacuousness on this board boggles the mind. Please add me to the BFF table. I'll be in my overalls, baseball hat, and tennis shoes. In public! The horror.

I sometimes wearing them when I'm growing my hair out, only in casual environments (exercising, doing housework, taking a walk on a windy day, etc). Sometimes you just need to tie your hair up or out of the way, you know? I have long layers, and if I put it up in one ponytail in the back, strands slip out and it looks messy and gets in my face. Two low ponytails are neater and look less severe, IMO. FWIW I'm 44 and reached the age that I don't care what others think.

I wear them with my husband sometimes He likes it

Out of the house? Bizarre. There is a mom @ DS school who wears them- she's an attention whore.

I am perfectly entitled to my opinion, and free to judge if I damn well feel like it, and I think grown women in pigtails are totally ridiculous. There are plenty of other hairstyles, even if you are doing an ab workout, that don't make you look like an aging teenage wannabe.

Also, my husband finds it hot because it feeds his schoolgirl fantasies.

What do you do for a living? What else would DCUM not approve of????

I work from home part time/stay home with my son. I wear any number of horrible "ugly" shoes, Keens, Danskos, Crocs, combat boots. I don't shave my legs or pits very often. I don't wear make-up. Most of my clothes are probably not very flattering according to DCUM standards. Sometimes I have a drink in the middle of the afternoon. I could keep going, but I won't

You sound like my ex-BFF. Which would technically be a BFFALW. But yeah. It's you, isn't it?
